About US
[Figure 1.A.]'s mission is to bring scientists and artists into a close dialogue, which creates understanding and compassionate thinking for the working processes of both fields. In-depth introduction of scientists to the artistic creative process and likewise, artists to the scientific process is embedded in the DNA of the organization, which offers a number of projects to fulfill its mission.
Among these are the annual scientific art competition open to both scientists and artists using scientific methodologies; site-specific exhibitions exploring a variety of topics related to nature, science, and art; as well as special events, lectures, and workshops open to the public that always explore the intersection between the two disciplines.
[Figure 1.A.] was founded in 2017 and is run by a collective of scientists and artists, in close collaborations with art and museum curators, a team of photographers, graphic designers, and gallerists.
